Every time I think of Galadriel, I think of the song she sings as the Fellowship leaves Lórien:
"O Lórien! Too long have I dwelt upon this hither shore and in a fading crown have twined the golden elanor. But if of ships I now should sing, what ship would come to me? What ship would bear me ever back across to wide a sea?"
Such a beautiful song to portray a dwindling people.
Schmincke watercolours on Montval cold-pressed paper, A3 size. I recently bought a couple of Arthur Rackham artbooks... I think it's working already. God, I adore that man's style.
This reminds me somehow of the Female Ideal by Botticelli - which I like just as much as this one. Very pretty but of an uncommon beauty ... I like the way you have drawn her hair a lot! Nice work
