"Then Fingon the Valiant, son of Fingolfin, resolved to heal the feud that divided the Noldor... he dared a deed that is justly renowned among the feats of the princes of the Noldor; alone, without the counsel of any, he set forth in search of Maedhros."

J. R. R. Tolkien: The Silmarillion
Chapter 13: Of the Return of the Noldor

Such a determination, it's amazing! I also love the landscape, so beautiful! (but I just realise how strange it was to take his harp with him :O_o: but you draw it very well ;))

He certainly looks determined enough to march off and find Maedhros despite any and all obstacles :D It's a wonderful interpretation of the passage, and I absolutely love what appears to be a gathering storm in the background -- it certainly reflects his mood. Wonderful work!

This was such a fantastic part of the book... and this is a wonderful image to capture it!

I'm so glad to finally see a rendition of the elves that captures the elegance of their race but (this is especially important-) still retains the men's masculinity!!!

Glad it works for you. I've been told that my elves don't look masculine enough, but in the last ten years, during which Anime style has taken over pretty much everything, I suppose my male elves are veritable y-chromosome miracles. :D
