Whee! This one's had me excited for some time now - those of you who love Tolkien art certainly know Anke Eißmann [link] , and roughly two weeks ago, we had the idea to do something together. We decided to each take one shot of the same scene from the Silmarillion - in this case, Curufin and Celegorm stirring up the people in Nargothrond - and then put them together with the quote underneath.
In case you couldn't tell , my pic is the one on the left, Anke's the one on the right.
It is truly wonderful to see my two favorite Tolkien artists (besides Alan Lee, but I'm sure you'll collaborate with him too someday!) work together. PLEASE do more! It's so interesting to see your different takes, and how they compliment each other. Superb, as always.

this is simply lovely ^^ your styles match perfectly. I'd love to see more of collabs like this in the future. About your own painting, I love the smirk you gave Curifun. It's a nice contrast to all the sorrowful faces on the background. You two really know how to bring the Silmarillion to life

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
