Okay, the only one that really qualifies for this is the third - the rest are roughly around the same situation, but not the same scene. They're just for kicks. ;)

The jump from 1995 (twenty years old) to today is obvious... but there's at least a bit of refinement between 2004 (twenty-nine years old) and today as well.*

All scenes, needless to say, from Tolkien's Silmarillion.

I think the next one will be one following a single scene from 1992 to today... choices for those are limited. And involve a certain redhead. :D

*Those hard light edges I did in 2004 do look nice... but where the heck is the light coming from? I'm thinking Maedhros' left thumb. But yes, I still really like that 2004 version in spite of its flaws. Or maybe because of them. ;)

Your works went from looking like a budget Knights of the Round Table impersonation (Though still pretty damn good), to something that was done by Da Vinci.

The interesting thing I just noticed about the 2004/2012 versions of Maedhros and Maglor is that Maedhros looks very much the same in the two images. They could easily be two shots of the same person, but drawn in different rooms with different people looking down at him. I'd put the 2004 as the earlier moment because Maedhros hair is shorter there. I guess by that point you had figured out how you wanted Maedhros to look. Everything after perfected the basic form. I love the changes in Maglor's appearance though. His hair has so much more life to it. Soft coils tend to give him a softer, more real, look. And I love the new shade you used for his robes. It's much brighter, and far more ornate. The leather gauntlets form a subtle reminder that he is a warrior. And then there is the sword, of course.

It's unbelievable. Unbelievable. You're awesome!
Golden-Seven - "the bottom two don't really qualify for "Draw this again""

Actually I think they very much do. The amount of detail you've added, more refined edges and the smoother skin tones are stunning changes from 2004 till 2012

Love the growth and sharing this with us. Shows hard work and sticking with something really does pay off
