This is the companion piece to [link] , also painted for ELFENWELTEN [link] , an artbook companion to the bestselling Fantasy series by German author Bernhard Hennen, which is coming out this month.

The character here depicted is Noroelle, who was banished from her world by the elf queen, for having given birth to a demon's child. To protect the baby from the queen's wrath, she leaves it on the doorstep of a human couple somewhere in a wintry forest.

Watercolour.

Less than I'd expected - he grew up among men and became a healer.

Cool, does he ever meet his birth mother?

No, as far as I remember, he never does - Farodin and his friend Nuramon enter the human world in order to find him, and they do, but Noroelle isn't there. I don't remember the details very well, I'm afraid; I only read part of the first book because I wanted to know what I was illustrating. :)
