Artist's Comments

This is the companion piece to [link] , also painted for ELFENWELTEN [link] , an artbook companion to the bestselling Fantasy series by German author Bernhard Hennen, which is coming out this month.

The character here depicted is Noroelle, who was banished from her world by the elf queen, for having given birth to a demon's child. To protect the baby from the queen's wrath, she leaves it on the doorstep of a human couple somewhere in a wintry forest.

Watercolour.

Beautifully colored and beautifully detailed. I also like the story.

I don't have a problem with canon, non-canon, straight, gay or any other of that nonsense. I have a problem with incest but as long as it isn't real life & it is drawn well I will pretend that they're not related for the sake of a job well done. Love wins

I love how your work can be new whilst seeming classical and rich in age. I love this piece, very emotionally provoking.

I really like your technique, it's warm and reminds me of my childhood somehow.
