"Sandra Patricia Campbell. Juan Ortega Campos. Sean Canavan. John A. Candela. Vincent Cangelosi…"

It was a cool but clear September morning, and Peter and Hesam stood leaning against the side door of their ambulance near Ground Zero, overlooking the large congregation of people that had gathered to commemorate the sixth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

Theirs was one of two ambulances deployed to Zucotti Park, and like most others on that day, they stood in silence as the names of the people who had died in the attacks were being read by students of a hundred different nationalities.

Fëanor! I feel I haven't done him justice in decades. I really like how he turned out here.

Fëanor is a character from J. R. R. Tolkien's Silmarillion. (And I cannot, ever, imagine him with long hair.)

You know, up until I saw this, I'd always pictured Feanor with typically long, elvish hair. I really like the idea of him with short hair! He looks very proud and determined here ^-^ Now THIS is Feanor!

I just can't envision him with long hair. Feanor is such a no-nonsense person, I can't imagine him preening himself in any way.

I always imagined Feanor with stronger jaw than here, also here the neck gets thinner as you go downwards indicating a slim body - whilst Feanor was a blacksmith as I recall and a man of war (well elf but whatever

) ...

Do you have a drawing of Feanor in full body armor? With the silmarils perhaps?

I don't seem to have it up on dA. It was an old, bad image I probably deleted everywhere.

I never thought an Elf's strength would show in his physique as much as a human's. It doesn't fit my mental image of Elves. It's true that the Silmarillion Elves are a very warlike people, a lot of whom stood up to Balrogs, even, but I still always imaged them as lithe in stature.
