Sirius Black, James Potter, Peter Pettigrew (top) and Remus Lupin (bottom) spend a nice early summer's day at the lake in their fifth year...

I went through hundreds of mid-seventies photos for this one. And now excuse me, I must go wash my eyes.... :D

Daily DeviationHarry Potter--Marauders by *Gold-Seven

We've all seen innumerable fan art pieces of the Maurauders, right? What makes this piece stand out, aside from the gorgeous watercolours used, is the depth of research that went into it. Working out that these characters were growing up in the 70's, the artist search back through hundreds of photographs from the era to capture the right hair, clothing and atmosphere. (Suggested by ~Chutzpah10 and Featured by `animator)

Hell yeah man This rocks. Wow A Proud potter fan indeed. Clothes are right down to the nitty gritty awesome as hell. Hair. Coloring. God..its like..heaven...only down on paper and alot more attainable.

yaaa~ coolll to see another HP fan XD :D you draw them exacly how I see them and I like the Marauders XD XD :heart: !!!!!!!!! the clothes reminds really the 70th period XD and they're seem so cool and relaxed, calm ^o^ the coloring is prefect !!! :D :heart: Great Pic :dance: :boogie: :) :clap:

Awsome! Love how James looks like he just spotted a rat going through a pantry and Lupin looks rather apathetic to the whole thing. Great look to Peter too. Just enough weight to him to make him look like an akward kid.

OH MY GOD this is AMAZING... the things you do with watercolour baffle me and I'm a watercolourist... well may I say that Sirrius looks good and mmmmmmmmmm... and like he's living in the seventies... I love the undone tie... so much more mmmmmmmm... wow... how sad is it that I'm practically drooling over Harry Potter...

Well, the only problem I see is that Sirius, though handsome as he should be, looks a bit older than the others - it´s probably the jawline, making his face seem too thin. The rest is amazing: Peter and Remus are perfect, and James is surprisingly hot. YUM! :heart:

I agree that Sirius is borderline for a sixteen-year-old... But since I teach forty of those every day, I can just about imagine him in one of my Year Elevens. Okay... maybe after he had repeated a year ;) But the others fit a lot better, I agree.
