It was a cool but clear September morning, and Peter and Hesam stood leaning against the side door of their ambulance near Ground Zero, overlooking the large congregation of people that had gathered to commemorate the sixth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

Theirs was one of two ambulances deployed to Zucotti Park, and like most others on that day, they stood in silence as the names of the people who had died in the attacks were being read by students of a hundred different nationalities.

A painting of Llywelyn I did at my last watercolour workshop in Aachen two months ago. I've held up uploading it because I wanted to include the videos the lovely :iconzornisse: made during the process. She filmed them at the workshop and they include technique tips on painting the hair, leather, and chainmail.

And I never realised my English sounded so German. O_o It's hard to talk English while painting. Be kind.

How did you make the textures in the backround? Use a lot of water? I really like it and want to try it on one of my own paintings :)

He doesn't look like he's happy that we are staring at him, does he?
I really love his armor and the hair colour: it's very natural! I think that blond is a difficult hair colour to get to look natural, it is often a bit to "Hollywood blond".

Das fertige Bild ist super - aber das überrascht nicht wirklich. Ich hab noch nix von dir gesehen, dass mir nicht den Atem verschlagen würde. Danke für die links und den Upload der Tutorials!

Das Video-Tutorial ist echt eine tolle Hilfe, ich hab richtig Lust bekommen, endlich mal wieder was zu zeichnen (und dann auch zu colorieren :D)
Übrigens finde ich dein Englisch total gut (und ich höre recht viel davon in letzter Zeit, seit ich an einer bilingualen Schule arbeite ;) ), noch dazu wenn man sich eigentlich auf was ganz anderes konzentriert, also keine Sorge.
Vielleicht schaffe ichs ja tatsächlich wieder mal an meine Zeichensachen - auch wenn ich fürchterlich aus der Übung bin, das ist dann deine Schuld wenn sich die Leute hier gruseln müssen *GGG*

Jedenfalls, geniales Tutorial, super Bild - ich freu mich schon auf das nächste!

Und ich würde immer noch schwören, dass in den Haaren kein Purple ist, wenn ich es nicht gesehen hätte.
Es war wirklich, wirklich großartig.

Und wenn du die Videos vom Haare malen mit "Justin Biber" tagst, hast du bis Ende der Woche eine Millionen Hits :)
