I haven't drawn on pastel paper in eight or nine years - because my dratted old scanner didn't pick anything up on those. Now it finally occurred to me that I might try them again... And I love the result!


Maedhros. Either pre-Thangorodrim or... I have finally caved in and given him long hair. And then there was always that copper circlet that Tolkien said he wore and that would never really fit with his old hairstyle.

Don't give me any gleeful "I told you so's" please. I'm feeling bad enough as it is. ;)

Maedhros son of Fëanor is from J. R. R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion.

Wenn ich das wüsste. ;) War von der Textur her etwas wie Tonpapier, aber dünn. Lag in meinem Ingres-Block von Daler-Rowney, ist aber keins ;) Ich hab die Dinger vor fünfzehn Jahren gekauft; einige hatten schon eine richtig stilechte Patina an den Ecken angesetzt...

Nein, war es nicht, das ist dicker. Ich vermute, es war einfach dünnes Tonpapier aus dem Schreibwarenladen...
