Breaking out the old pencils. (Several of them.) These are just a couple of sketches I did for my own Heroes fanfics - some support characters I created and really liked, so I wanted to know what they looked like.

Do you know the feeling of creating a character and trying to pin him down, and he proves completely elusive? Nick (top left), Karen (centre) and Brian (bottom right) were very cooperative, but Anne (top right) gave me a hard time, as did Simon (bottom left). Anne ended up looking like me. Weird how that happens...

I wanted to draw characters you could meet in he street and never give a second glance... I guess Simon turned out too pretty. :D

Ich mag die Skizzen. Und das schönste: sie sehen tatsächlich alle vollkommen anders aus!

Nick is fun. A lot of fun to write, too. ;)

I like Anne and Nick the best.

Perhaps it's my taste in menfolk, but I wouldn't look at Simon twice. :D

I know that feeling so, so so so so well. To the point that if you compared pictures of a single character that I had considered "successes", no two would look the same. :/

nothin' wrong with "too pretty". :D

Usually, I have to "break in" new characters. You wouldn't believe how long it took me to pin Aedan down, and still, what Aedan is today is really a compromise. I simply couldn't draw him. His current appearance has long taken over and is "right", but originally, I think what I had mind looked more like Ross from "Friends".
