I've been wanting to do a new map for my story [link] for ages to reflect some major changes - and here it is, finally!

This went to fast it's frightening - an afternoon, and there we were.

The warrior on the right is the semi-mythological figure Bran Fawr, who will make many appearances in poems and songs in the new draft. A closeup of him can be found here.


Pencil. Background done from scratch in Photoshop 6.0. Custom brushes made by me. :)

:) love it. I dont know if you have come across Margaret Jones? She made a map of Wales with Mabinogion images woven into it. i think most welsh families have a print of this :3

I can never get pencil to scan properly. It all looks faint and is really hard to see. On a side note, I love drawing maps and can draw a very accurate map of Britain from memory.

Looking at this makes me sigh, simply because it seems so mythical and yet at the same time so very real. I adore it, and including of Bran Fawr really makes this seem like something you would find in the back of an old story book, something lovingly traced over many a time after the tale was finished. beautifully done.
