I've been wanting to do a new map for my story [link] for ages to reflect some major changes - and here it is, finally!

This went to fast it's frightening - an afternoon, and there we were.

The warrior on the right is the semi-mythological figure Bran Fawr, who will make many appearances in poems and songs in the new draft. A closeup of him can be found here.


Pencil. Background done from scratch in Photoshop 6.0. Custom brushes made by me. :)

Excellent rendition of a map. I love the composition with the warrior on the right, it really adds to the overall impression of the map. The way you drew him reminds me a lot of the classical 19th century book illustrations for medieval sagas and legends.
