"Fae" is just the ordinary people's explanation for the magical powers of her race. I never really explain where they come from; it could be fae, it could just be coincidence. :)

It's one of the things I simply haven't explored. I don't presume to know whether anything in my world is God's will or the result of some quirk of nature - I only see it through the eyes of my characters. ;)
