Yay for parchmenty sketches, they look so pleasingly finished.
Staubfinger and Farid, again from Cornelia Funke's Tintenherz/Inkheart (or more probably Tintenblut/Inkspell). I meant to put Gwin on Staubfinger's shoulder, but I sketched this on the sofa and was too lazy to get a reference for a horned marten.
Gotta love Farid, the boy from Arabian Nights
Pencil, Photoshop.
EDIT: "Staubfinger" is the character's name in German (it's a German book originally).
Das ist die Basis von allem, denke ich. Wenn ich ein 30-Stunden-Werk eines tollen Künslters sehe, denke ich, oh schön. Wenn ich nen 5-Minuten-Sketch von ihm sehe, falle ich rückwärts um.

Chaucer: You've probably read my book? The Book of the Duchess? No? Well, it was allegorical. Roland: Well, we won't hold that against you, that's for every man to decide for himself. (A Knight's Tale)
You mean the ones in the end credits of the last movie, right? I never thought of those, but yes, I adore them... Alan Lee's sketching is so way cool.

Again a wonderful drawing.. Their expressions are great and this reddish paper makes the whole thing look.. well, you said it: finished. I love the sketchy pencil line in this one..

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This is YOUR opportunity to mock, ridicule and generally take great delight and amusement whilst poking fun at the beloved Volunteers and Staff of deviantART.
