A few weeks ago, one of my dearest online friends :iconuneide: was diagnosed with cancer. She's exactly my age; our sons were born within days of each other. Though I only know her online, she's one of the most wonderful people I've ever had the pleasure to meet, and the positivity with which she approaches her battle with cancer is incredible.

So, Apis, this is for you. There's half a world between us so I can't be there for you in person, but I want to give you strength - for you and for your family, for all the times that lie ahead.

Thank you for all the good wishes - I'm sure that she'll be delighted when she reads them all!!

Bless your Friend and may she come through her problems with flying colours and No complications. May her Family have little to no stress in this trial and may it make them stronger.

When my Mother was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer last year I took to my spinning wheel. Sometimes just something to do with one's hands is better than just fussing about the House with nothing to do. Mama is fine now, with just a radical mastectomy and I have a LOT of yarn spun. I yet have to find something to do with it. Do something with your hands and take your mind off the little things that creep into your thoughts. Watch cartoons; watch sappy movies. Do it together but DO something.

Having sat with cancer patients, too many of which were my friends and two my beloveds, I know what I'm talking about. Blessings on you.
