Artist's Comments

Adenydd verch Iared, Aidan's younger half-sister (and Llywelyn's older sister), as well as beloved of Rhys. Born in February, at the time of Imbolc, the end of winter and beginning of spring, symbolified by snowdrops.

I meant her to look sweet and naive; her blonde hair would make her stand out as a great beauty in Celtic Rhyddion (her and Llywelyn's mother is French).

Pencil lineart, photoshop, watercolour texture.

Mittlerweile bin ich übermütig genug, zu hoffen, ich schaffe noch genug Bilder, um dieses Jahr noch nen Kalender zu machen (zusammen mit den vier anderen...)

This portrait ( especially her face's expression) reminded me of an other character from an old book based on Welsh legends - that is, of Princess Eilonwy from Lloyd Alexander's "Prydain Chronicles". Very beautiful and lively.
