Aaaah the small German villages, where the world's still a nice place and where mothers cook jam.
It's not as if I had a choice though. 2013 will be known as the Year of the Cherry. Alternatively, the Year of the Fruit Plague. Making jam is the only option to keep the flood of fruit in check (plus giving buckets of cherries away to friends and neighbours!). This is just the last two days' harvest, and our cherry tree is still so full of the stuff that it's almost cracking under the weight O_o
And being the creative person that I am, I don't do it under "Redcurrant-Cinnamon", "Cherry-Marzipan", "Cherry-Coconut", "Schwarzwälder Kirsch" or "Gooseberry-Vanilla".
