Unspoken resentment by Gold-Seven Unspoken resentment by Gold-Seven
Fingon and Turgon, sons of Fingolfin. The former just having freed Maedhros from Thangorodrim, presumably about to help tend his wounds - the latter making it clear in a very subtle way that he utterly disapproves of the rescue, holding Maedhros responsible for the death of his wife.

Characters from J. R. R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion. Sorry if the little story up there was confusing. :D

Painted with coffee on watercolour paper. [link]

Preliminary sketches and lineart, along with some thoughts on logistics of this scene, on my blog: [link]

Your coffee paintings are simply amazing. I came here looking for ways to preserve my coffee art on google and got stuck in your gallery :)

My, my. This is just brilliant. Coffee makes for a great medium for painting. This is beautiful.

Beautiful scene. You have such a talent for imagining moments that could have easily happened in the Silmarillion that aren't written, and then translating them into stunning art.

You reminded me that I also thought when I read that Fingon took Maedhros with him "hey, but now Maedhros is in 'enemy' territory" (from the pan to the fire?, haha). That was my vague thought at the moment, I forgot about it, so many years ago...
