I'm on a roll! Lock away all pencils! Nothing is safe!

Or rather, please don't. This is so incredibly satisfying.

Yavanna, Giver of Fruits. Goddess of all things that grow. From J. R. R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion.

Pencil, white gouache on home-made pastel paper sketchbook. [link] Drawn in about an hour. Plus another twenty minutes for gouache-ing.

Some happy rambling on my blog. [link]

Really amazing! Nice profile of this character. It makes me thinking about the "simbolist" style of the 19th century.
Very beautiful!

I certainly have a big thing for symbolism. :) And the 19th century, art-wise. Thank you!

Gorgeous. I've worked with pencil and white charcoal before and really enjoy it, but I've never tried the pencil with gouache. Mostly because I hate gouache. Though I guess acrylic would probably work as well?

It would - I've tried it as well, but like the feel of gouache more. (And the smell!) ;)
