Various little things I've got on my mind...

  • Mood: Tired
  • Watching: 300 - wtf??
  • Playing: Engel
  • Eating: Rumkugeln
  • Drinking: Coke
Still being bogged down by all manner of stuff. Those who are waiting for their prize art; I'll get to it soon, I promise - just when I had finally worked off all my commissions, the whole family passed round the flu. Timo brought it home, and he never infects me, but I got it via my husband, and now I'm trying to keep a sick three-year old as happy as possible, as well as away from his baby sister so she doesn't catch it as well, while wanting nothing more than to lie down for a day or two. I have to make do with four hours at night. That's a bout a third of what I'd like right now. Consequently, I can't even get myself to open Photoshop in the evening or take up a pencil.

What keeps me going? These two do. [link]

On a totally different note, isn't the new "collection" feature fun? It's so cool to check out collections that a piece of mine has been added to - such a great way to find artwork that's right up my alley!

On the other hand, collections can only work in very, very mysterious ways. Has any of you any funny stories to share what sort of weird collections their pieces were added to? A few people confused digital pieces of mine with traditional ones and put them into collections accordingly (and vice versa!), but the weirdest collection my stuff was added to so far was some Harry Potter art of mine that went into someone's "Wicca" collection, there to join pentagrams and the like. :O_o: Okay...

And then I finally saw "300" last night. W-T-F?? It was one of the movies I had been determined to like, just to counteract the cliché that women didn't like these sorts of movies, but it was one of the few films I've watched that I actually wanted to switch off halfway. I stayed because I was too tired to think of something else to do, lol. But that was one of the most overrated movies I've seen in the last ten years. Cool pictures, yes - but what was up with all those Fantasy monsters? My husband and I ended up passing the time in which studio's backyard they'd grabbed and salvaged that oliphaunt... that rhino... the troll... those ninja guys... that hump-backed gollum... interesting that you can turn a comic into a film and actually make it a LOT more comicky than the original!

Well.

Another "need to watch this" movie off my list.

I've not been added to any weird collections. A friend of mine had some art of his added to someone's collection called 'the worst $### I've ever seen', and there was actually a lot of very GOOD art in that collection. Luckily, that guy was banned ><

I still havn't seen 300... no desire to, really :P

I hope yall are better soon!

Huge Commission Sale! Help a pirate pay her bills ^^; :ahoy:
How do you tell what collections your art has been added to?
It's in the messages - instead of "XYZ has added THIS PICTURE OF YOURS to their favourites", it says "XYZ has added THIS PICTURE OF YOURS to the collection ABC".

I had no ads to weird collections yet^^

Smile, it confuses people ^_^
Lol I've had one of my most awful doodles, which I only uploaded to remind me how much I've improved(and need to improve still), favourited into a videogame cathegory, but seeing that doodle in there was pretty funny, lol. :P

And 300, well yeah, it's a Men movie lol, every girl that watched it told me they hated it... and every guy loved it. I think it's the same with I am Legend. All the girls hated it and guys loved it. :)

You've got to embrace your inner-freak!
300... it was pretty good in theaters, but when I rented it, I hated it. One of those movies that only looks awesome because of the picture and loud sound combined in the theater. :p
lol as for the collection thing, I only use it myself to organize stuff, so that later if I need to find a tutorial on something I just go look in the collection of tutorials I liked.
Sometimes people mean to drag stuff into their favs and accidentally put it in a collection- I know I've done that a lot of times, which could explain the very strange collections your stuff's been put into ;p
I'm actually intrigued by I Am Legend. I nearly picked it up last week at a videostore (and then decided in favour of Alias season 5). Now I'm wary. :D

And my husband hated 300 as well, so he's at least one guy to mess up statistics :D

Leonidas. Den sollte man wenigstens aus dem Geschichtsunterricht, mindestens aber als Pralinenmarke kennen! ;P

I love Collections! I'm a 'favoriting' addict and it makes things so much easier.

I, too, was determined to like '300' because I'm a big ol' geek, hate chick flicks, love comics, and dig Frank Miller. It did nothing for me. Its only redeeming feature was the acres of half-naked men, but even so, I found it silly and boring. It's not that it was a 'man' movie, it's just that I felt it wasn't a very good movie. I'll look forward to the next 'Sin City' flick and 'The Spirit' instead.

Hope you are all feeing better over there!
When I think back to "300", I think it it as "dying in slow motion". ;)
