I'm back from a GREAT weekend (hang on, it was just one day, but it felt like a weekend...) at Klaus Scherwinski's
[link] great character design workshop in Bielefeld. I'm still paying the price for dumping the kids on my husband for one entire day and charging off to have fun and draw, but I hope I'll be forgiven for that in time.

And hopefully, in time for the Spielemesse in Essen.
It was GREAT to hang out with artsy people for a day. I met several deviants too - ~
Schimmerklang was sitting next to me, provided me with a lot of inspiration and is going to build me a drawing table also usable as light table, which may or may not help me to avoid becoming a bent-over cripple in twenty years' time.

I tried out all sorts of funny gadgets people brought - ever tried an electric eraser? THAT is the ultimate gadget! I need one!
I'd been feeling unhappy with my stuff for some time; I've come back now with some interesting food for thought, most of which is concerned with action lines, avoiding right angles except for good reasons, the the virtues of construction.

Let's see how long it lasts!

I allows you to erase tiny, tiny stuff. Very cool. I've just ordered mine.
