Updates

Wow. Thanks so much for all those faves and comments! I mostly cleaned out my message centre last night when Aragorn was at around 500 faves, and logged on today to 1,700 more messages. O_o

Thanks to everyone who liked Aragorn and the Making-Of! I'm trying to get through all the comments, answering all questions and generally trying to catch up with those many of you who put so much thought into commenting. So very much appreciated!!

And I think I didn't read the dreaded "LOTR FANARTS" anywhere. Thanks for that as well. :D

Not sure how long I can keep up this drawing streak (which classifies as a frenzy by now, I suppose). I'm working on my next - which actually happens to be Frodo - but I'll be getting a lot of school work starting tomorrow.

At least I have a lot of good ideas for Mother's Day now. I actually think my mum will get the original of Aragorn. She always liked him best, and she can't relate to the Silmarillion anyway. :D

*Hands out some more hugs* You guys really build me up. Thank you for that.

I have a soft spot for Aragorn, and I like your version (and tut) A LOT, but considering that I woted for Frodo in the poll, I can't wait for you to finish him!!!

Thanks a lot for the tut, btw, I'll definitely try the nail polish thing. I tried to obtain the same effect by sprinkling salt on wet areas of watercolour, but I dunno why, it doesn't work for me...

No, salt never worked for me either! And it's a lot messier than any other substance.

Yes she is! And she definitely was the one who got me interested in the first place. She always read a lot to me when I was little, too.

I already am. Timo is five; I've read five long (100+ pages) Fantasy-themed children's books to him over the last year. Jana is two, and she can't really relate to what I'm reading to Timo, but she already loves her storybooks, too. Reading and Fantasy are very important in this family.

Have you made some art for their walls? (Just curious here).

I have to admit I haven't. I started a pic a month ago, but then got side-tracked...

I just stopped to think that having 200+ messages in my inbox is a lot to clear :D I can't imagine how you manage this many - so a big thank you for doing just that anyway.

And now I'm curious about Frodo :) If I'm grateful to the movies for anything, it's that I finally can imagine hobbits. They always eluded me - when I tried to imagine them, not to mention draw them, they always resembled something like a very old potato... :XD: So I want to see what your vision was (and is). Certainly you fared better than me :D
