Very last call for calendars, and Happy New Year!

Journal Entry: Thu Jan 6, 2011, 11:47 AM
Updates

Hi all,

A very Happy New Year to you! If you don't see a lot of me in the first weeks of the new year, I'm - again - over my head in work. At least part of that work, however, is that Tolkien picture I posted a preview shot of. There are one or two pics I might finish on the side... most of which have already gathered virtual dust from waiting patiently on my hard drive in scribble form... O_o

Other commissions are still closed for the time being - I might open them up again in spring, after that Tolkien one is done. :)

And here's a little plug again for my Rhyddion Chronicles calendars - three of them are left lying around in my study... come on guys, it'd be a shame for them to go in the shredder. ;)
***EDIT: Two left***

This is what the calendar looks like:

:bulletblue: How to order: :bulletblue:

The price for the calendar is 18 Euros, plus 7 Euros shipping. No matter where to. As of 1st January, 2011. Thank you so much, Deutsche Post. <_<

Payment can be made via PayPal (jenny-at-goldseven.de)
or, if you're in Germany, bank transfer (Überweisung).

If you're not sure how much that is in your currency, check xe.com!

If you'd like to purchase a calendar, send me an e-mail (jenny-at-goldseven.de) with the subject "Calendar+Your Name". The calendar will go on its way as soon as possible (payment in advance, please). Give me your exact address in the email, thus, it's easier for me to keep track. If your (and your postman's) native tongue is not English, German or Spanish, let me know what "do not bend" is in your language, to forestall any accidents to your calendar along the way. :giggle:

:bulletblue: If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! :bulletblue:

ist es noch möglich, einen Kalender zu bestellen?

I know this may sound belated, but hope your New Year has been a good one so far. =)

Anyhoo, I had thought about getting a calendar too, but given the current state of affairs in Queensland right now... yeah.

Oh dear! :( Were you directly affected b the floods?

:iconaikurisu:
Hmm, well I wouldn't say directly affected, but one thing I really found quite fascinating about it all was how badly my state relies on supplies from the south. In the first couple of weeks of the floods, there were literally grocery aisles completely empty in my town's major two supermarkets, so there was a sense of awe and concern you don't normally see around these parts. And when it came to getting things by mail... it just seemed silly to consider, when the nearest city in my area had lost its airport to the floods, and that the main highways to the south were also closed off. Fun times. =)

Speaking of floods too, my state just got hit by a cyclone today, but thankfully it's weakened into a tropical low now. Happened about a few hundred kilometers north of my area, which I'm really glad about. =P

Oh dear. O.o I hope you're OK!

Fortunately my area wasn't in the middle of the chaos, so all we really had to deal with was the loss of supplies in most stores. And I'd easily much prefer that to what horrors were experienced a little south from here. =(

Oh my. :( Here's hoping that was the last catastrophe for a looooooong time to come!

Well aside from the region getting rain every second/third day, things have been alright around here now. Now that the cyclone season is drawing to a close too, we've got a year ahead to prepare for other nasties... like bushfires. =)
