Saw this meme on *Vyrhelle-VyrL's page, and it looked fun. So, here goes!

-- > Why did you join this site?

Years ago, :iconsaimain: told me of this great art community. We’d been friends online for some time, and I went to look at it immediately. And I found she was right.

--> What does your user name have to do with you? Is it a combination of your favourite things, or a character of yours?

Gold Seven is the callsign of Samica Trey, a Y-Wing pilot I used to play in a Star Wars campaign. That was so long ago that I don’t have much art of her online these days. But since I discovered the internet around that time as well, I stuck to that name for pretty much everything (also because it’s hardly ever taken – except for dA, lol). Today, I’m probably better known as Gold Seven than I am under my real name.

-- > What is your current icon of?
I haven’t changed my icon in all those years – it’s Jon Snow, from my painting “The Storyteller”, of the Song of Ice and Fire books. I still like it. And apparently, it looks like me enough that my daughter keeps saying “Mama!” when she sees my avatar somewhere. (I use it pretty much everywhere, too.)

-- > How many watchers do you have and how many people are you currently watching?

I have over 13,000 watchers. O.o I watch some thirty people.

-- >Do you have more than one account?

No, never have.

-- > Name 3 of your favourite artists on DA.

Only three? Oh dear…

:iconsaimain::iconvyrhelle-vyrl::iconjuliedillon:

-- > What deviant do you admire because of their personality?

There are loads people here with whom you can have great, in-depth conversations. This list is my no means complete, btw. ^^;;

:iconpeet::iconkleinmeli::iconhubby-n-dad::iconpearwood::icontheshadowmachinery::iconlawenta::iconheidinanookie:

And there are so many more :hug:

-- > How many people on here do you actually know in reality? Post their avatars.

:iconambroggio::iconmissmatzenbatzen::iconchristiannauck::iconklausscherwinski::iconunbemerkt::iconelegaer::iconstormragejunior::iconarmel::iconavalantis::iconkarrakas::iconbalorkin::iconloew-art::iconschimmerklang:

I’ve probably forgotten a few here too…

-- > Do you comment, fave, or both?

Both. I rarely fave without commenting, and usually try to say something other than “Awesome!” :D The only deviations I fave without commenting are the ones where the artist obviously never answers comments. That said, I try to answer as many comments to my pics as I can; everyone obviously spending a lot of thought on my stuff usually gets an answer.

-- > What do you typically post on deviantart?

So much hodge-podge stuff that I probably drive a couple of watchers mad. :D If I don’t drive them away. I probably have people who exclusively watch me for Harry Potter and who pull their hairs out when I post chibified Silmarillion characters of Simpsonified Heroes. Or worse.

-- > Do you participate in clubs or contests here on DA?

I’m not a member of any clubs, but I’ve participated in contests and have held one contest myself.

--> What is your most popular deviation?

“Marauders”, with nearly 12,000 favs. O_o I don’t really think that it’s that good anymore, but people apparently love it. When you search google images for “Marauders”, it’s the first pic that comes up. O.O

-- > What's your favourite submission in your favourites gallery?

:thumb86395618:

--> What are the things you wish you could draw better?

Poses. I envy people who can whip up the most complicated and still natural-looking poses without reference.

--> Are you a subscriber?

Yup, since day one. :)

--> How many hours a day do you spend on DA?

On average? Probably 30 to 60 minutes. Hard to say. I have several windows open when I’m online, and dA is always one of them.

--> Are you a fast, slow, or medium typer?

Fast. And faulty. :D If I don’t spellcheck, my orthography is a mess, as anyone knows who’s had the questionable pleasure to chat with me.

--> What is your favourite emoticon?

:D

-- > What is the most annoying thing people ask you?

Hmmm… used be “Draw Jarlaxle pleeeeez!” but I haven’t had that one in ages.

-- > What is the most annoying comment you get?

There aren’t any, really. Not here. It’s amazing what a jerk-free space deivantArt is.

Edit: Wait, there's one comment I keep getting that really annoys me, and that is people trying to tell me that Eva Cassidy's version of "Fields of Gold" is better than Sting's. Some of them just won't back off. They can go on preferring hers; I'd like to go on preferring Sting's please. One even told me I was besmirching Eva Cassidy's memory for claiming that she just covered the song. But I think that may have been Elfwood again...

-- > What inspires you?

Stories. Books, movies, TV. Always people and their motivations.

-- >Do you use any traditional media?

Yep. Watercolour, of course pencils. I used to work in watercolour pencils or coloured pencils too, but haven’t done that in ages.

-- >Do you associate people online with their icons?

Who doesn’t? :D

-- > Have you ever suggested a Daily Deviation?

Shame on me, I haven’t.

-- > Everyone has considered leaving DA once or twice. Have you? Why?

I actually never have. I just thought back, and dA has never been anything but a fun place with fun people for me. There are other places which have driven me away for sure *coughelfwoodcough*

lol, I only just got a thousand watchers not too long ago. But roughly two thirds of them are ghosts now. =P

So what evil turmoils did you experience with elfwood? I almost came close to abandoning this place for it a while back... but I could never get past all the bloody coding involved.

They drive me mad with their rules. a troll in jeans with an iPod is Fantasy, and a knight on a horse is not? O_o

:iconaikurisu:
Good point. Should have given the knight tusks to get past the red tape. =P

The knight actually had some magical skills, but he doesn't wear a t-shirt saying "I can do magick!" :D

*laughs* For some reason I'm getting this vivid image of a knight with a typcial 'I shot JR' designed t-shirt. XD

lol, maybe he should have had an iPod half hanging out of a saddle pouch too? Could have worked. Very fantasy-esque. =P

You left me pretty much speechless there for a moment. Thank you. :hug:

Yeah, I definately have to agree with you about Elfwood... I used to go there alllll the time, and posted all my stuff there, but I always seemed to get negative comments from genuine a**holes. I, unfortunately, let them get to me and quit drawing for about a year, but I still looked around... And then I found dA! And you! I found your Marauders pic on Elfwood during my "I'm giving up on art outside of school assignments" phase, and it actually inspired me to start drawing for pleasure again. :D And then I discovered you were on dA too! So there's my little bit of nostalgia concerning you for ya!

Thinking back, I'm really amazed at how jerk-free dA is too... I think I've only run across maybe 3 or 4 in the whole time I've been here... Hm.

I can't even remember any complete jerks here. Not in elfwood dimensions, certainly. ;)
