Skilfully done! May I propose a theme for a future painting considering your skill?

I can not find a single illustration whatsoever of depopulated Rome during the Middle Ages, or depopulated Constantinople after 1204, where the living city shrunk back within the walls and left a lot of crumbling ruins and giant monuments, among which agriculture and herding of cattle, swine, sheep and goats took place within the ruined area encircled by the city walls.

Not a single historical illustration of herdsmen, farmers, milkmaids or the like busy with rural activities within a landscape of urban decay. The image is such a striking one, that I'm surprised no artist through the centuries ever tackled it, if Google search is to be believed.

Be the first!

 § For Visitor's!
If anyone pops in here to learn water colour, study the samples here in the gallery and look for the well made water colour tutorials here by the creator!
 * The colour tutorials are solid, concise and gives ample explanation of brush/colour work

Also the next time you decide to work with coffee as your ingredient for colouring and want more control of the liquid such as dabbing away or such. Use a sponge for doing the dishes or the one for hygiene as it is made of something else which does not leave paper towel fragments on your work surface(do cut a small piece off a clean sponge ) Coffee filter does not leave any substance behind, it wont absorb much liquid - however it can be used to line out the liquid from areas you don't want it to go to.

Keep it up, you certainly have your own art *style*, it is elegant and a marvel to study your colouring

Absolutely spectacular

Hi,

I came here to thank you for your wonderful art, but you have disabled comments on single pictures -  probably a wise decision, because otherwise you would be overwhelmed with comments.

I think, you are the authority when it comes to Tolkien pictures - or elves in general. And you got me into GOT as well. I was already into Starwars, Harry Potter and roleplaying games.

I'm very interested in your novel, the Rhyddion-cronicels as well.

So greetings from a fellow German... (Nähe Frankfurt)

I absolutely love your art, expecially the works about Kylo Ren! You really manage to explore deeply the complicated soul of this character Love

Hello! I'm a big fan of your art - but if I may ask: where is the painting of Fingolfin? I can't seem to find it.

Which one? I got rid of older art a while ago, and these days, I only post a few pieces here anymore. I'm not active on dA anymore much.
